Sources

We aggregate publicly posted grow diaries and their weekly log entries from grower communities. Each strain page links the source grows its statistics come from, so every figure can be checked against the original diaries.

What gets excluded

• Diaries that never reached harvest. An abandoned grow says nothing about flowering time. Only diaries with a logged harvest count toward flowering statistics.
• Low-credibility diaries. Each diary is scored 0–100 on logging quality signals (entry count, photos, plausibility). Statistics use diaries scoring 60+.
• Ambiguous strain matches. Diaries are matched to strains by strict normalized name matching. Near-misses (crosses, sound-alike strains) are never counted.
• Implausible spans. Flowering spans under 28 or over 120 days are treated as logging artifacts and dropped.

Observed flowering time

Measured per grow as the span from the first logged flowering week to the logged harvest week. We report the average, median, and range across qualifying grows, with the sample size (n) always shown.

Verified yield

Dry weight divided by plant count, only where both were logged. Efficiency (g/W) divides dry weight by reported light wattage.

Verdicts

• ✓ Claim verified — at least 3 harvest-complete grows, and average observed flowering is within the breeder's claimed range (plus one week of grace).
• ▲ Runs longer than claimed — average observed flowering exceeds the claimed maximum by more than a week.
• ○ Collecting data — fewer than 3 qualifying grows, or the breeder publishes no claim to check.

Grower removals

If one of your grows appears in our source data and you'd like it removed, email [email protected] with the diary link — it will be excluded from the dataset and all statistics within 48 hours, no questions asked. We never republish diary text or photos; only aggregate numbers and a link back to the original.
